Ashtabula -Jeffrey A. Rocco, 62, passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at UH Geauga Hospital after a brief illness.

A resident of Ashtabula most of his life, he was born on July 14, 1963, the son of Alfonzo (Al) and Joyce (Kinch) Rocco. He graduated in 1981 from St. John High School and attended Kent State University. Jeff lived a brief time in Florida where he worked at The Breakers Palm Beach Resort. Jeff worked 31 years with CEI, now First Energy, as a Meter Reader and in Meter Services.

He was an avid golfer and devoted Ohio sports fan. He enjoyed jet skiing, boating and all Lake Erie had to offer. In the winter you could find him snowmobiling or on the slopes either skiing or snowboarding.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy M. Rocco; son, Michael A. Rocco (Renee Justice) of Mentor, OH; brothers, John (Cheri) Rocco; A. James (Michele) Rocco; sister, Jeanine (Joel) DiMare, all of Ashtabula, OH; mother-in-law, Rose Harrelson of Spartanburg, SC; brother-in-law, Cori (Diana) Phillips of Harrisburg, PA; sister-in-law, Kristal (Jeremy) Goetz of Ashtabula, OH; nieces and nephews, Joel (Katherine) DiMare Jr.; Alex (Natalie Parks) Rocco; Matt (Nikki Peck) Rocco; Ali (Jake) Wilms; Ann-Marie (Wes Miller) Phillips; Cullen (Emilee) Phillips; Wyatt Goetz; Isabella Goetz.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alfonzo Rocco, Joyce Rocco and stepfather-in-law, Duane Harrelson.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers for their compassion for Jeff and his family at such a difficult time.

Jim and I first met Jeff and Sandy shortly after moving in to the house next to them.....it's been over 10 years.....and by far he was one of the best neighbors we've ever had....would do anything for anyone who needed help....several years ago, it was just before Christmas and we had a snow storm....we were expecting family the next day for Christmas....Jim went out to snowblow both our driveways....the snow was so heavy he almost passed out....Jeff happened to be out side and came over to help....got Jim to the garage and then told him to go into the house, him and his son Mike would finish it for us.....not only did Jeff plow both our driveways, sidewalk and porch, he cleaned off both our cars.....he was an awesome person, friend and neighbor.....we will miss you Jeff.....praying for you Sandy and Mike.....
