Jeffrey Maylen Schmoll passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his home in Sterling Alaska at the age of 31. He was born on July 3, 1993 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 21, at the Creighton Mo. Lions Club Visitation is set for 11a.m and services will at Noon. Memorial contributions can be made to the Jeffrey Schmoll Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Jeffrey was a son, brother, stepbrother, uncle, cousin, and a wonderful friend to many. Jeff loved to hunt, fish, hike, camp, sit around the bonfire and shoot the shit, traveling, rock climbing, and motorcycles. Jeff never met a stranger; he could make conversation about anything that would turn into an hour plus visit.
Jeff attended Sherwood his entire school age days, he was involved in many things at school such as school plays, being the Sherwood mascot, running track, being in FFA and entertaining his teachers. Jeff graduated in May of 2011 with Honors. Jeff loved to travel one of the main reasons he joined the U.S. Navy in 2011. Jeff had a couple of dreams one was to travel the world to as many places as possible and the other Well...To be a Hanes underwear supermodel, which was still on the bucket list. After the navy in 2015 he moved to Anchorage Alaska where he lived until 2020, he then moved to Sterling Alaska where he bought his first home. There he worked as a civilian Contractor under the Department of Defense.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandfather Clarence E. and grandmother Lilian Schmoll of East Lynn, Mo., uncle James (Rick) Schmoll of East Lynn, Mo., cousin Becky Higgs of Pleasant Hill, Mo., grandfather Sterling and step grandmother Peggy Kepner of Urich, Mo., grandmother Sandy Workman/Bryant of David City, Nebraska, uncle Glenn Kepner of Urich, Mo., step brother Jacob Satterthwaite of Huntington, Indiana.
Jeff is survived by his Father Jon and Stepmother Ruth Schmoll Mother Mary and Stepfather Bob Campbell, his brother Andy and wife Shellie Kepner with 3 nephews and 1 neice, brother Clarence (C.J.) Schmoll, brother Cameron Satterthwaite, sister Courtney and Husband Mitchell Harmon with 2 nephews and 1 neice, his sisters Kayla, Teresa, Hailey Satterthwaite, step sisters Alexis and Breanna Stewart all from Urich, Mo., step brother Donovan and Wife Brittney Stewart and 2 nephews of Pittsville, Mo., brother Tyler Springer and 2 nephews of Strasburg, Mo., step sister Jessica and husband Loren Carroll with 2 nephews of Markle Indiana, along with many other relatives and many many friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
