Jeffrey A. Sheehan, 65, passed away February 24, 2026. Born in Springfield to Joyce (Deraleau) Sheehan and John J. "Joe" Sheehan, Jeff was a lifelong resident of Sixteen Acres, a community and neighborhood he deeply cherished. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Deborah J. Sheehan. Jeff proudly served in the United States Army and worked many jobs throughout his life, including as a union painter. He was a hard worker, fiercely loyal, and cared deeply for the people in his life. His true gift was his ability to make people laugh and to remind them what mattered. When Jeff entered a room, the atmosphere shifted; it came alive. He had many jokes and stories, and he told them well. He made a lasting impression on every person he met. In many ways, he lived life in a way most people never quite do - fully present, bold, and unafraid to be himself. There is no way to sum Jeff up in a single paragraph - it would take a library. Those who knew him carry the chapters. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Sheehan; his beloved grandson, Manolo; his brothers, Michael J. Sheehan and Kevin J. Sheehan; his beloved nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends he considered family. He lives on in us all. Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service with Military Honors on Friday, May 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. at Miller Memorial Park in Monson, Massachusetts.
