Jeffrey Dean Skarsten

SKARSTEN, JEFFREY DEAN, age 59 of Clarkston, passed away surrounded by loving family on Friday, February 10, 2023. He was born on November 11, 1963 in Flint to parents Russell and Elaine (Cook) Skarsten. He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1983 and retired from Doxim in 2022 after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Jeff liked to reminisce with his daughters about his parents and telling stories about his life growing up. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his job. More than anything, he cherished his family and loved his grandchildren. Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 16 years, Jeanne Skarsten; daughters: Ashely Ortiz and Heather (Andrew Wyborski) Skarsten; grandchildren: Anthony, Rickee, Elaina, Aubrey, and Andy; siblings: Larry Skarsten and Randy (Fawn) Skarsten; sisters-in-law: Terri (Mark) Chase and Cathy (Tim) Zaneske; mother-in-law, Nancy Young; his favorite dog, Petie; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Ron Skarsten; and father-in-law, Ronald Young. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Mr. B's Roadhouse, 6761 Dixie Hwy., Clarkston.
