Jeffrey Allen Snyder

With a giant hole in my heart I have to announce the passing of wonderful man, father and husband; Jeff, he passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the University of Michigan Hospital on February 1, 2024 at 12:40 am.
A year ago Jeff was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure, he surprised doctors with great resilience for the first six months. Jeff had many guests at the hospital, which I know gave him great comfort. He strived to work until the last possible days at Maurer Textiles where he was a general manager. He had a Masters Degree in Business and did his undergraduate in human resources.
Jeff had a wonderful personality and was always able to lighten dark situations. Much like his dad, Jeff had no problem walking up to a perfect stranger on the street and starting a conversation just to see how their day was going. His daughter Jill would often tell him that was his "super power". He loved fishing contests with his brother in-laws at his dad's lake or up at our mom and dad's cabin. He also loved playing board games with Jilly, watching Eliza play softball, and hanging out with the fellas helping coach Jake's football team. He loved getting together for golf outing with his old buddies from Saginaw and pitching a game of softball with our softball team and dear friends the Slippery Pickles.
I am shaking when I tell you he will be missed infinitely by myself and our three children Eliza, Jake and Jill and the rest of the family. We are all having a hard time processing right now, so if you reach out and we don't return a message just know that your message was received and taken with great gratitude into our hearts. Anyone that is in contact with his father George or his sister Ellen please reach out and give them a big hug.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Amy their children, Eliza, Jacob and Jillian Snyder. Also, his father, George Snyder and sister, Ellen Canady.
Memorial Service is planned for February 24, 2024 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the Howell American Legion, 3265 W. Grand River Rd. Howell.
