Jeffrey Strawser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Asheville Mortuary Services on Jan. 27, 2026.
Jeffrey "Scott" Strawser didn't just enter a room; he took it over. Born on September 19, 1985, Scott spent the next 40 years making sure that life was never boring for anyone who met him. He passed away on January 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of high-octane stories, incredible meals, and a son he loved more than anything in the world.

Scott was a man of many talents and even more surprises. In high school, he jumped into wrestling late in the game and dominated through sheer grit. He was a man who could excel at anything when he put his mind to it, whether it was pulling straight A's at Blue Ridge Community College, running marathons, or leading his team with dedication at Buffalo Wild Wings.

To Scott, "appropriate" was merely a suggestion. Whether he was battling a beehive in his underwear with a leaf blower, famously known as "Hurricane Strawser", or performing his legendary, unfiltered rendition of Goodbye Horses, he lived to make people laugh. He was the friend who would call or text out of the blue just to make sure you knew you were loved, usually with a joke that was slightly too inappropriate for polite company.

In 2012, Scott's life changed for the best with the birth of his son. While he was known for his wild exterior, Scott was truly defined by his role as a father. Raiden was is absolute pride and joy. Scott didn't just love him; he championed him. He bragged to anyone who would listen about how handsome and strong his son was. Some of Scott's happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, drink in hand, teaching Raiden the finer points of cooking. That was Scott at his best: relaxed, Creative, and entirely devoted to his boy.

He is survived by his mother, Robin; his son, Raiden; his former wife and friend, Jenna; his son, Christian; his sisters; and the Crummie family, who chose him as a brother long ago. Scott was a man who lived at full volume, rarely allowing for a quiet moment and always preferring to leave people with a story they'd never forget.

Scott left us with stories we will never forget. As he takes his place at the table of his ancestors, we send him off with the words he loved:

"Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers. Lo, there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever."

In honor of Scott's memory, raise a glass and have a drink, cook a meal that's a little too spicy, tell a joke that's a little too dark, and, above all, always tell your friends and family you love them.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dry Falls Brewery, 425 Kanuga Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28739, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
