Donna Lee Strawser

Donna Lee Strawser (Daniels), 82, of Dauphin, gained her angel wings on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Legend at Silver Creek, Memory Care Unit, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. She was born June 18, 1943, to Donald Daniels (Dad) and Betty Sowers (Goodhart; Mom) but was raised by her loving Uncle and Aunt; George Goodhart (Pop) and Helen Goodhart (Benchoff; Mom). Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was kind, generous and loving. She cherished sharing times and making memories with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She was a 1961 graduate of William Penn High School and retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Employee's Retirement System (SERS) as a Health Benefits Coordinator. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Dauphin, Pennsylvania. Surviving are two sons, Steven P. Strawser of Duncannon and Scott E. Strawser (wife, Tracy) of Dillsburg and seven grandchildren; Saige Strawser, Shannon Strawser, Shay Strawser, Austin Strawser (wife, Sierra), Sierra Strawser, Adessa Book and Ryla Book. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Samuel P. Strawser and brother, Ronald E. Goodhart. Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 A.M. A committal service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at 1:00 P.M., in Annville, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Alzheimer's Association: Greater Pennsylvania Chapter.
