Jeffrey Allen Sturm

Jeffrey Allen Sturm, age 82, of Pawleys Island, SC passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at his residence on Monday, April 15, 2024.
Born August 23, 1941 in Akron, Ohio, he was a son of the late Max Sturm and Edna Orman Sturm.
Jeffrey was educated and degreed at the Cleveland Institute of Art and began his professional career at Scherr McDermott as a Senior Designer, and then throughout his career his talent was shared with: the City of Akron, Ohio as Graphics Director, Norman Malone Advertising as Senior Designer and a Commercial Art Teacher at Howard Vocational High School and finally opening his own Graphic Design Studio: Jef Sturm Graphic Design. He taught oil painting and drawing at Sea Coast Artists Guild and was a local celebrity at Brookgreen Gardens and the Georgetown Art Gallery where his work is exhibited extensively. He was a member of the Gold Tee Golf Association where he devoted ample time to his love of golf at the Traditions Golf Club.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Byron Sturm.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Debrah M. Sturm, his daughter, Erin Kummet and her husband Blaine of Lawrenceville, GA; his son, Kevin Sturm and his wife Kristie of Charlotte, NC; his stepson, Kenneth Myers and his wife Marci of Fowler, MI; 6 grandchildren: Sophia Hammond, Noah Sturm, Sydney Sturm, Samson Sturm, Gabriel Myers, Nathaniel Myers; his sister in law, Beverly Sturm and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jeffrey's life will be held at a later date by his family.
