Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hurst Scott Funeral Home on Feb. 26, 2026.
Jeffrey Douglas White – (April 2, 1975 – February 24, 2026)

Jeffrey Douglas White, 50 years old from Richlands, Virginia, was called home early the morning of February 24, 2026, at Ballad Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee, surrounded by his loved ones.

Jeff will always be a man remembered for his generous spirit, steady courage, and the unconditional love he shared without hesitation. Although his time on Earth was far too short, the imprint he left on the hearts of his family and friends is deep, lasting, and full of light. Jeff had a quiet strength, an ability to steady a room, comfort with just a few words, or offer a helping hand before anyone even had to ask. His laughter carried warmth, his kindness came naturally, and his loyalty was unwavering. Those who knew Jeff will forever remember his easy smile, his sense of humor, and the way he cared whole heartedly for the people in his life.

He loved deeply and lived authentically, finding joy in simple moments, good conversations, shared meals, time outdoors, and the presence of those he loved. Jeff was a man of compassion and integrity-someone who gave more than he took and whose actions spoke louder than words.

He leaves behind a circle of loved ones who will carry his memory forward with honor. Though he is no longer here in body, the love he gave continues to live in every person fortunate enough to have known him.

Those left to cherish his memory are:

His Parents:

Roy and Evelyn White

Daughters:

Megan White

Haley White and husband, Ethan

Grandson, River White

Sister and Best Friend, Shelia Newberry and husband, James

Niece, Nikki McCoy (Meeka and Esme)

Nephew, Ryan Dixon (Tomi) (Madison, Austin, Brayden, Carter and RaeLynn)

Special Uncle and Aunt, LeRoy and Angie Nelson

Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

In honor of Jeffrey's wishes, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, and love leaves memories no one can steal.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,

and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
