Jemima Ann Sutton

Jemima "Ann" Sutton, age 84, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her
home in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Born on January 7, 1941, in Pryor, Oklahoma, Ann was
the oldest child of the late Samuel Robert Sullivan and Edna Mayme Sullivan. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Robert Sullivan.
Ann was survived by a loving and devoted husband, Frank "Wade" Sutton, Jr.; a daughter, Leigh
Ann Harris; a daughter, Andrea Gale Farmer and her husband, Joshua Bradley Farmer; a
grandson, Thomas Bradley Farmer and his fiancé, Vanessa Rezende; and her dear sister, Sammye
Miller; all of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; and her nephews, Brett Miller and his wife,
Lloydell Miller, and Brian Miller and his wife, Gloria Miller; all of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Additionally, Ann was survived by her extended family, Raymond and Diane Farmer; Caleb and
Jessica Farmer, and their daughter, Addison Farmer; and Henrique and Priscila Rezende. She
was also survived by a host of very close friends, too numerous to name, whom she considered
her family and loved very much.
Ann's life was a reflection of one who loved Jesus and who showed that love to everyone around
her. She found great joy in helping others, particularly in sewing, whether it was altering clothes
or teaching others how to sew. She faced many challenges in her life, especially health
challenges in her later years, but her great faith in God always carried her through. Her life was
an example to everyone around her of unfailing love, strong faith, and God's amazing grace.

for all of your exceptional care and love for Ann. Also, a special thank-you to all of her
caregivers, and to her very special friends and pastors, Sam and Jane Whaley, for all the love and
support you provided.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 6:30
pm at the Word of Faith Fellowship in Spindale, North Carolina, with Pastors Sam and Jane
Whaley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Word of Faith Fellowship Building Fund, 207
Old Flynn Road, Spindale, North Carolina 28160. Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
