The Lord called a precious jewel, Jennefie Parson Stewart affectionally known to some as "Sudder," on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1950, in Vicksburg, Mississippi to James and Bertha (Evans) Parson.

Jennefie and her beloved husband, Bill, were married on July 31, 1967. She was a member of the Rosa A. Temple High School Class of 1969 in Vicksburg. Jennefie relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in April of 1969 to be with her beloved husband. To their union, four children were born. Jennefie attended Saginaw Business Institute, formerly Davenport Community College. She was a member of New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully with the Nurses Guild, Transportation, Kitchen, and Music Ministries for many years. Jennefie’s employment 1973-2010 included: London Farm Cash & Carry Dairy, Daily Pickle Factory, Vlasic Pickle, Saginaw Adult Basic Education, Salina Elementary School, Webber Middle School, and Jerome Elementary School; she retired in June of 2010.

Jennefie lived 1st Corinthians 13:13 “Three things will last forever - faith, hope and love- and the greatest of these is love.” She made no difference in whom she poured her love into. She loved her family, community, and church family, especially the children and elderly. She fed and gave to those in need. Jennefie loved to travel, cook, dress, and shop (especially shopping for hats). She instilled in her children never to judge or discriminate against anyone but to love everyone regardless. One grandchild said, “We were never taught about survival but were taught to love.” Another said, “People would think that our family was rich but the only thing we were rich in was love.”

Jennefie is survived by her children who adored her: Billy Sr., Victor, Michelle, and Frederick Sr. Stewart, Willie Mae (Don) Bivens Sr. all of Saginaw, Michigan, Lonja Reed, California and Jeffery Porter, Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren: Calvin, Delmont (Tiesha Emerson) Joshua, Billy Jr., Frederick Jr. (TyAnna) Stewart, LySandra (Robert) Scott, Victoria Shepard, James “JJ” Luter II, Mahogany Hudson, Beatrice (Christian) Garrett, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Michael (Crystal) Flores-Lowery, Linwood, Michigan, Johnathon George, Essexville, Michigan, Nakeena Weatherspoon-Richardson, Texas, Pashana and Jamelia Weatherspoon, Mable Simon, Atlanta, Georgia, Maurice Adams, Waterford, Michigan, Destiny Adams, Commerce, Michigan, Christopher (Jasmine) Joshua, Winter Park, Florida, and Jacques Winder, California; she also leaves a brother, Joe (Regina Dunbar) Parson Sr., Vicksburg, Mississippi; aunt, Evelyn Rice, Greenwood, Mississippi, son-in-love, James Luter Sr., and brother-in-love, Clifton “Roy” Stewart; sisters-in-law, Rosie Anderson, Saginaw, Michigan, Mary “Hun” Marshall and Frances Parson, both of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Carrie Mae (Lee) Miller, Utica, Mississippi, and Audrey Alsworth, Union Church, Mississippi.
