Jennie Buehrer Obituary
Jennie Marie Buehrer
March 8, 1964 - April 22, 2025
Jennie Marie Buehrer was born March 8th, 1964 in Chillicothe, Mo. to Rex Buehrer and Patricia (Renick) Buehrer Naber. She passed away peacefully in Norman, Okla. on April 22nd, 2025 at the age of 61. Jennie grew up in rural Thayer, Neb. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran church in 1978 and graduated from Centennial High School in Utica, Neb. in 1982.
Jennie lived in Omaha for many years where she made many lifelong friends. But her free spirit finally had the final say, and she moved to SW Florida in 2001! She loved the sun, the sand, the wind in her hair, and especially the sunsets! But no matter how far away she lived, she never lost her love for any Nebraska Husker sport, especially football!
She had her own bookkeeping business for many years, but kept herself busy with many other ventures! She was an Assistant to the Commissioner for the SSFL, a semi pro football league for 10 years. She volunteered her time early on, shortly after moving to Marco Island, and became an integral part of the organization. She was able to travel all over to games and made some of her fondest memories and best friends during this time.
Many know that Jennie has always been a gifted artist on many platforms. Drawing, macrame, cross stitch, and many more, she was even a member of the Naples Artcrafters for many years. But she found her true passion in creating pottery pieces. Especially her fairie houses that she designed, created, painted, and sold at craft fairs, Renaissance fairs, and on Etsy. She had such an imagination and talent that brought such joy to so many. When she was unable to create anymore, she was so thrilled to be able to donate her kiln and many pottery supplies to Clay More Ceramics in Naples.
She is survived by her mother, Pat Naber of York, Neb.; brother, Scott Buehrer (Jade Buehrer) of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister, Carla King (Terry King) of Norman, Okla.; aunt, Ruthe Reiling of Seward, Neb.; nieces and nephews, Nevaeh and Matthew Locke of Grand Junction, Colo., Sydney, Mason, (Chandler), and Jaxon King of Norman, Okla. And most importantly, her pups, Bandit and Tinkerbelle.
She is preceded in death by her infant brother, Brett Buehrer and father, Rex Buehrer.
Jennie's wish was for her ashes to go to family members as well as a living urn planted at the cabin in North Carolina. No official services are planned.
