Jennie Lea Brown, beloved mother of six children, passed away on July 15th, 2024, in
Seguin, Texas, after a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones as
she went on to be with our heavenly father. She was 63 years old.
Jennie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in November of 1960 to Kenneth and Virginia
Brown. She was one of seven siblings. The Brown family later moved to Twin Falls,
Idaho, where Jennie was raised. From a young age, Jennie formed a lifelong friendship
with Gina Bridgeman (Wells) in the 4th grade. They remained the best of friends
throughout their lives, weathering many ups and downs together. They considered each
other sisters and raised their children as cousins. Their bond was truly unbreakable.
In the late 1970s, Jennie met Daniel Hall. They married in 1979 and together had six
children. Even after their divorce in 1990, Dan and Jennie prioritized family, celebrating
birthdays and holidays as a united family unit. Their children always felt the deep love
from both parents.
In 1992, Jennie married her second husband, Tony Moriarty. This union added two
more children to Jennie's loving family, which she embraced as her own. Jennie and
Tony lovingly embraced all eight children.
Jennie had a lifelong career as a labor and delivery nurse, a role in which she took
immense pride. She continued her career until she sustained a disabling injury that forced
her into early retirement. Despite her condition worsening over the years, causing
significant pain and discomfort, Jennie remained resilient. In early 2024, she was
diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, which she fought valiantly until her passing.
In her younger years, Jennie was an avid outdoorswoman who loved hunting, fishing,
and camping. She also had a deep love for riding motorcycles! She cherished every
moment spent in nature, often with her family and friends by her side.
Jennie's legacy is one of fiery spirit, deep passion, and unconditional love for her family
and friends. She will be remembered for her piercing blue eyes, bright smile,
unforgettable laugh, and her immense love for Travis Tritt.
Jennie was preceded in death by her mother Virginia, father Kenneth, sister Debbie,
brother Kenneth, son Luke Hall, stepson William Jack Moriarty, and granddaughter
Odessa Grayer. She is survived by her beloved dog, Dutton, her sisters Kathryn (Jeffrey)
Kunz, Linda Robinson, Rebecca Brown, brother Timothy Brown, her children, John
(Katie) Anderson of Pocatello Idaho, Heather (Mario) Smith of Denver Colorado,
Meagan (Michael) Buddenhagen of San Antonio Texas, Matthew Hall, and Mark Hall of
Laramie Wyoming, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jennie's eight children blessed
her with 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her
heart. Her spirit lives on through each and every one of them.
A celebration of Jennie's life will be held in Laramie, Wyoming, at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made in her honor to March of Dimes, a cause close to her
heart due to her love for premature babies.
Jennie will always be held deep in our hearts and remembered for her fiery spirit, her
deep passion for all whom she considered family and friends, and the love she spread in
the world.
