Jennie Stowers, 53, of Dawsonville passed away Monday, September 29, 2025.

Born September 15, 1972, Jennie had been a resident of Dawson County for 31 years. Jennie earned a master's degree from North Georgia College and had worked as a first-grade teacher at Robinson Elementary for almost 20 years. She poured her heart and soul into each student that she taught and was awarded as the teacher of the year in 2018. Jennie had a great love for animals but her greatest pride, joy, and love in life were her two beloved children. She supported them in every way and would go anywhere and do anything in the world for them. She was extremely proud to be the mother of two UGA graduates.

Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Tim Stowers of Dawsonville; children, Sam Stowers (Erin) of South Carolina, Sallie Stowers (Bo Lewis) of Dawsonville; mother, Bonnie Martin of Alpharetta; brother, Richie Martin of Florida; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Martin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at Silver City Baptist Church at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025. Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Brody Hughes and Rev. Tim Biddy will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested for the Robinson Elementary PTO and can be delivered or mailed to Robinson Elementary School, 1150 Perimeter Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
