Jennie Ventre, 98 of Marlboro, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born Thursday, January 13, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, Jennie was one of seven children born to the late Anthony and Angela Christiano.
Jennie was raised in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. Jennie would meet and marry the love of her life, Carmelo Ventre, when Carmelo immigrated to the United States from Italy.
The couple would continue to live in Brooklyn, and start a family of their own. They raised their children in Brooklyn. Jennie was a homemaker, always giving her time to raising her children and caring for them. In 1999 Jennie and Carmelo moved to Marlboro to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Jennie enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City, and celebrating the holidays. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. More than anything Jennie loved being with her family. It didn't matter what she was doing, as long as she was surrounded by her family. Jennie was a loving and caring woman, who will be deeply missed by all those that love her.
Jennie was predeceased by her husband Carmelo, by her parents, Anthony and Angela, by her siblings, Joseph, Anthony, Nora, Millie, Grace, and Mary.
Jennie is survived by her loving children, Lena Ferrara, Roy Ventre and his wife Janis, Angela Derleth and her husband Richard, and Anthony Ventre and his wife Angela, by her cherished 8 grandchildren, and by many adored great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
