Jennifer Leanne Barger

Jennifer Leanne Phillips Barger, 50, of State College, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born July 22,1975, in Statesville, NC, she was the daughter of Joe Hubert and Barbara Penninger Phillips. On September 27, 2008 she was married to Gregory Neal Barger, who survives.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her two Sons, Clayton Russell and Samuel Joseph Barger, Sister Mary Monheim (Richard), Niece Haley Monheim, Nephew Jakeb Monheim, Mother/ Father In-law George and Fran Barger, extended Barger Family, many friends, co-workers and neighbors.

Proceeding her in death: Clayton and Lois Phillips - paternal grandparents, Sam and Catherine Penninger - maternal grandparents.

She graduated from North Iredell High School - Class of 1993.

College graduate of University of North Carolina Charlotte 1999.

She worked for and deeply enjoyed her time with Delta Airlines for several years as a Flight Attendant. For the last eight years she worked in the school system at Mount Nittany Middle School as a Paraprofessional. She also started Jen Barger Photography and Jen Just Sews where she attended many craft shows to unveil her handmade arts & crafts. She was very active in the community, involved in MOPS, Winter Craft Market and Scouting.

She loved her family and cherished spending time together in fellowship with everyone she encountered.

Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 6 pm, with the Reverend Greg Milinovich officiating.
