Jennifer Ann Beal passed away, March 9, 2026 in Raleigh, NC after battling cancer. She was born August 5th, 1956, to Marion and Vernon Krueger in Jamestown, North Dakota. She was the youngest of six children. Jennifer grew up in Jamestown, and moved to Valley City, ND in 1973. She graduated from Valley City High School in 1974.

After graduating from high school Jennifer attended university and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead, Minnesota in 1978 with a B.A. in Psychology of Communications. She married Paul Beal in July of 1979 in Moorhead, MN. They had two daughters, Amanda (March, 1986) and Caitlin (December, 1988). After 22 years of marriage, Jennifer and Paul divorced, and Jennifer remained single.

Jennifer was an avid reader, dog mom, and loved to dance- especially to Motown and R&B music. She was a swimmer, and enjoyed going to the YMCA. Jennifer had a life-long love of working with the elderly that began in Jamestown where she volunteered as a Candy Striper at a local nursing home. She spent her career working in non-profit, and senior living.

She is preceded in death by her father, Vernon Krueger; mother, Marion (Krueger) Klein; step-father, Dr. Clifford J Klein; brother-in-law, Michael Klein; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy (Art) Goffe; step-sister, Mary Beth (Dan) Shannon, and step-brother, J. Klein.

She is survived by her children, Amanda Beal, Bluffton, SC; Caitlin Beal, Memphis, TN; her former husband, Paul Beal, Crossville, TN; her siblings, Virginia, (James) Brousseau, LaSalle, Manitoba; Michael (Susan) Krueger, Fargo, ND; Patrick (Jean) Krueger, Brainerd, MN; Leslie (Ken) Klingenstein, Fargo, ND; step-brothers Tom (Karen) Klein, Spooner, WI; Kevin Klein, Valley City, ND; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Olive.

There will be a celebration of life in July at Lake Lida, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center or your local humane society.
