Jennifer Bourion (Irons), of Kingsley, MI, passed away peacefully after a battle with Stage IV breast cancer, Monday, October 6th, 2025.

Jennifer was born in St. Joseph, MI, November 19, 1980, the daughter of Richard Irons and Linda Yauch. Jennifer was a devoted mother to Evelyn (daughter) and Nolan (son). There were many shopping trips with Evelyn that resulted in just a little too much spending. Jennifer also loved her evening "girl talks" with Evelyn where they would discuss just about anything. Also, there were many hours of watching Nolan perform tricks on his scooter at the skate park. Jennifer also recently enjoyed taking her electric scooter for a ride with Nolan. She also found joy in being her children's biggest supporter at sporting events. Jennifer also considered herself to be the "cool aunt" to her nephew and niece, Jackson and Emma and enjoyed her texts and conversations with sister Tara, and time spent with her family in her dad's cabin.

Jennifer loved to spend time with her dog, Myah. They enjoyed long walks followed by snuggling up on the couch to watch a good game. Jennifer was mostly a fan of Detroit sports but would be open to watching just about any game on TV. She looked forward to family camping trips in the RV and even learned how to keep the campfire going. She also loved spending time relaxing in the backyard and watching the kids jump on the trampoline.

Jennifer received a Bachelor's degree at Ferris State University where she majored in education and chemistry. Upon moving to Traverse City after college she spent time working at GLEC (Great Lakes Environmental Center) where she met some lifelong friends and shared lots of laughs. Jennifer decided to further her education and completed a Master's in Counseling program through Western Michigan University. She most recently worked at K-Town Youth Health Center where she took pride in helping the youth of the community with mental health issues.

Jennifer met her husband, David while at Ferris State in 2002. They moved to Traverse City in 2005 and then onto Kingsley in 2008 where they bought a home and started a family.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Linda.

She is also survived by: her spouse, David Bourion; her daughter, Evelyn; her son, Nolan; her father, Richard Irons; her sister, Tara Modigell, and her husband Bruce, and their children Jackson and Emma; her mother-in-law, Cherie Chartier (Greg); brother-in-law, Matthew Bourion (Stephanie); sister-in-law, Erin Bourion; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

In accordance with Jennifer's wishes, a private ceremony will be held.
