Jennifer Cristal Contreras, 24, of Passaic passed away on April 9th, 2025, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey on April 9th, 2001, she was a resident of Passaic her entire life. Jennifer graduated from Passaic County Technical Institute in Criminal Justice. Jennifer worked as an exceptionally talented server with stints in sales and security between NYC and NJ. In her final years Jennifer pursued cosmetology to open her own business.
Jennifer is survived by her mother Dina Marcelo, who always melted with love at her sight and will love her eternally. Her older sister Luz Contreras, who will forever be her best friend, her younger brother Anthony Contreras who will forever be "Her son", and her father.
Jennifer will be remembered for her beautiful heart and bright personality, her beauty, her advocacy for animals, and her advocacy for children. Jennifer loved everything the best, dancing, ethnic music, animals, children, traveling, and everything related to beauty and cosmetics.
Visiting Friday, April 18, 5 – 9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Service Saturday 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment, Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.

Nacida en Passaic, Nueva Jersey, el 9 de abril de 2001, residió en Passaic toda su vida. Jennifer se graduó del Passaic County Technical Institute en Justicia Penal. Trabajó como una mesera excepcionalmente talentosa, con experiencia en ventas y seguridad entre Nueva York y Nueva Jersey. En su último año, Jennifer se dedicó a la cosmetología para abrir su propio negocio.
A Jennifer le sobreviven su madre, Dina Marcelo, quien siempre se derretía de amor al verla y la amará eternamente; su hermana mayor, Luz, quien siempre será su mejor amiga; su hermano menor, Anthony, quien siempre será "su hijo y engreído"; y su padre.
Jennifer será recordada por su bello corazón y personalidad brillante, belleza, su defensa de los animales y defensa infantil. A Jennifer le encantaba todo lo mejor, a bailar, la música étnica, los animales, los niños, viajar y todo lo relacionado con la belleza y la cosmética.
