Jennifer Dillard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory - Statesboro on Nov. 3, 2025.
Jennifer "Jenny" Faith Dillard, of Washington D.C., formerly of Statesboro, GA went home to be with her savior on Sat. Oct 25th. She was a devoted sister, aunt, loyal friend, and dedicated public servant. From a young age, Jenny encountered and overcame significant obstacles. She was born premature at 27 weeks and faced many difficult years of health challenges. She survived dozens of surgeries, hospitalizations and procedures. Jenny quickly established a reputation for never allowing her physical disabilities to dictate her life. She loved to read, learn and experience new things. She attended Georgia Southern University and earned a bachelor's degree in International Affairs, graduating summa cum laude. Her dedication to learning and service then led her to a position with the U.S. Department of State, where she was known for her diligence, integrity, and commitment to excellence. She was pursuing her master's degree at the time of her passing. Outside of her academic and professional accomplishments, Jenny was a kind hearted soul who found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved her dogs, especially her late companion, Fluffy, and her beloved Dorgi, Finn. Jenny also cherished spending time with her family, particularly her two nephews and niece. They were the light of her life, and she spent many evenings on video calls with them and her siblings. She is survived by her sister, Leila, two brothers, Matthew (Megan) and Tony (April), two nephews, Benjamin and Sage, a niece, Ella and many other aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly. Jenny will be remembered for her kindness, humility, and empathy. She had a rare gift for listening without judgment and supporting others without hesitation. Though her time was far too short, Jenny's legacy lives on through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
