Jennifer Elizabeth Hackney, age 46, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Jennifer Elizabeth Hackney of Knoxville, TN entered Heaven and reunited with her family. Jennifer, born in 1979, was the youngest daughter of CL Hackney and Tina McGinnis. Jennifer was a graduate of Bearden High School, class of 1997, where she was a member of the swim team. Jennifer loved to read, fish, spend time at the lake and beach and was a true crime enthusiast. Jennifer loved her dogs Bullet and Roscoe.
Preceded in death by: Grandparents, Clarence (SR) and Sarah Hackney and William "Bill" and Mozella Wallace; Stepdad, William "Red" McGinnis
Survived by parents, Clarence "CL" Hackney JR and Tina McGinnis; sister, Katie Bough (Frank); step brothers, Jeff and David McGinnis; Niece, Kelsea Pennington (JR); Nephews, Jordyn and Seth Bough and Matthew and Casey McGinnis; great niece, Stella Pennington; great nephews, Atticus and Rowan Pennington; best friend Dennis Gue, along with many other very loved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 PM at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel (9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923) with a funeral service to follow. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery (2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918).
