Jennifer Louise Ransome, 63 of Prospect, died Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born October 26, 1960, in Columbus to the late Joy Burdell and Mary (Norris) Thomas.
On November 20, 1982, she married Pete Ransome in Delaware, and he died December 3, 1995.
Jennifer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delaware. She had worked at Mettler Toledo for over 25 years. More recently she had worked at CBIZ for eleven years. Jennifer loved her family and her dog, Ora. She enjoyed going the Little Brown Jug at the Delaware County Fair. Jennifer loved wearing her jewelry.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacquelyn (Ray) Montgomery, Prospect; two sons, Brent (Michelle) Ransome, Prospect; Chase (Melissa) Ransome, Prospect; seven grandchildren, Walter, Kori, Kaine, Mackenzie, Hayden, Ryker, Avery; two great-grandchildren, Octavia, Zarha; a sister, Teri (James) York, Powell; a brother, Jeff (Lisa) Thomas, Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Roar and Lori Phillips; a brother-in-law, Steve Ransome; and special friend, Craig Latto, Delaware.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect with Pastor Jennifer Eastman Hinkle officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. that day. Private burial will take place in Prospect Cemetery at a later date.
