Died: December 17, 2022 in Streamwood, IL
Jennifer Lori Roby, 46, of Streamwood, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at St. Mary's Church, Peru with Rev. J.A. Small, officiating. Visitation will be 4-7:00 PM Monday at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru with a liturgical prayer service at 3:45 PM. Additional visitation will be held 10-10:50 AM Tuesday at the church.
Jennifer was born December 4, 1976 in Sterling to Donald H. and Jane Annette (Wagner) Roby. Jennifer attended Peru Washington Junior High School where she received the Jayde Muylle Memorial Scholarship Award for the highest grade point average. She was the Co-Valedictorian at LaSalle-Peru High School, Class of 1995. Jennifer had received the Wagenknecht Scholarship, the News Tribune All-Area Academic Team, Illinois State Scholar, Merit Recognition Scholar, the LaSalle-Peru Honor Society, and the Bausch and Lamb Honorary Science Award. She had attained High Scholarship Honors for eight semesters and lettered in tennis and track and field. Jennifer went on to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and the University of Illinois School of Pharmacy in Chicago. She received her Doctorate in Pharmacy in 2001. Jennifer worked as a pharmacist at Walgreens for 22 years and was a member of St. Mary's Church, Peru. She was an avid Illini, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and especially enjoyed going on Cubs trips with her father and sister.
Survivors include her father, Donald of Peru; brother, Donald R. Roby of Sheridan; sister, Kristine A. Roby of Peru; step brother, Douglas Draper and step-sister, Amanda Draper both of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Doug Petrovitch of Streamwood.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
