Funeral Service for Mrs. Jennifer L. Searcy, 88, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the Wayside Baptist Church. Rev. Will Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Wayside Baptist Church.

Jennifer L. Searcy, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away surrounded by the family she cherished deeply. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, the beauty of art, and the enduring strength of family bonds.

Born with a spirit that radiated warmth and thoughtfulness, Jennifer's Christian faith guided her through a life filled with joyous moments and loving relationships. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who found her greatest happiness in the company of her loved ones.

Jennifer's legacy is carried on by her adoring family: her son, Danny (Regina) Searcy; daughters, Leslie Searcy Shoemake, and Allison Searcy (Mike) Bird; grandchildren, Shanna (Daniel) Thompson, Hilary (Ben) Wallace, and Michael (Collins) Bird; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Chloe Duffy, Owen Thompson, Zach Thompson, Samuel Wallace, Sipsey Wallace, Allen Bird, and Walter Bird. She is also survived by her brother, Clyde (Linda) Williams, and sister, Jackie (Ronald) Chapman. Jennifer was preceded in death by her beloved father, Marlon T. LeMaster; mother, Annie Ruth Williams; husband, John A. Searcy; grandson, James Jackson Dollar; grandson, Chris Bagley; sister, Bobbie Cullars; and half-brother, Bobby LeMaster.

Jennifer's creative spirit shone brightly through her many passions. She loved sewing for her children, grandchildren, and friends, often gifting them with the fruits of her labor. Her initiative, Mimi Makes Baby Blankets, became a cherished project, wrapping the newest members of her family and friends' families in the warmth of her love. Jennifer's thoughtfulness extended beyond her sewing, as she enjoyed sending cards and letters, ensuring that her family and friends felt her presence even from afar. Her handmade Christmas cards were eagerly anticipated each year, a tradition that showcased her spirited nature and artistic talent.

Not only were her cards a delight, but so were her culinary skills. Jennifer's banana bread was famous among her family and friends, a treat that many looked forward to receiving. Her recipes, like her crafts, were made with love and shared generously.

Jennifer loved her ECHS class of 1955 and helped organize many class reunions including the 70th reunion held in August of 2025.

Above all, Jennifer loved her family dearly. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of the moments she spent nurturing, teaching, and laughing with them. She was the heart of every family gathering, the storyteller who could captivate her audience, and the wise matriarch whose advice was sought after and cherished.

Jennifer L. Searcy will be remembered as a woman who lived her life with purpose and joy. Her thoughtful gestures, spirited laughter, and creative soul have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. As we say farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the love she gave so freely and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the beauty in simple acts of kindness and the enduring power of family.

The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Baptist Church, 21 Wayside Circle, Alexander City, AL, 35010 or Children's Harbor, 434 Children's Harbor Drive, Eclectic, AL, 36024.

Loved Jennifer so so much and I was blessed with beautiful baby blankets when my children were born. She and John were wonderful neighbors to my parents, Rick and Judy Jones for many years. Condolences and prayers to all the family.
