Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brookside Funeral Home and Crematory (Yakima) - Moxee on May 29, 2025.
Affectionately known as "Aunt J" to her beloved nieces and nephews, Jennifer Louise Fischer Train passed away on May 23, 2025, in her hometown of Yakima, Washington, at the age of 51, surrounded by her family. Jennifer was born in Yakima, where she spent most of her life close to those she loved. She was the daughter of Andrew Fischer and Carol Fischer, both of Yakima.
She is survived by her cherished son, Kaidn Train, her father, Andrew Fischer, her mom and step-dad, Carol Fischer and Steve Korn, her sisters, Lisa (Silvestre) Aguilar of Federal Way, Lori (Ron) Seawright of Yakima, and brother, Andrew (Kim) Fischer of Yakima. Jenn is also survived by her good friend, James Carlile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug, and her beloved dog, Delia.
Jennifer attended West Valley Jr High and Davis High School. After high school, she attended The Art Institute of Seattle.
Jennifer worked for many years at Denny's in Union Gap, where she was known for her warm smile and strong work ethic. She was someone who spoke her mind, stood her ground, and always showed up for the people she cared about.
As a young girl, Jennifer loved ballet and proudly performed twice in The Nutcracker at The Capitol Theatre. In her later years, she discovered a passion for running and practicing yoga. In the past couple years, she traveled all over the world. She went to Spain, Bali, Ireland, Germany, and Amsterdam. She was a devoted Seattle Seahawks fan and loved cheering them on every season. Jenn was a huge animal lover, who was known to take in all that needed a home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00am, at Holy Family Church in Yakima, to honor and celebrate Jennifer's life. A luncheon will follow at the church.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
