Jennifer Van Wart

Jennifer Lynn Van Wart, 48, of Cary, North Carolina passed away November 5, 2022, from terminal brain cancer. She was born on October 1, 1974, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to David and Josephine Van Wart. Jennifer is survived by her mother, Jolynn Van Wart, her sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and James Atkinson, her brother and sister-in-law, David and Trish Van Wart, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. While alive, Jennifer served the State of North Carolina through the Department of Public Safety with her work in Emergency Management. When not working, her passions were crafting, journaling, reading, performing arts, and all things Disney! She also loved to travel and had lived in CT, VA, and FLA before settling in NC. She leaves behind a legacy of inspiring others through her warrior spirit and never-give-up attitude.

Jennifer's family will receive friends for:
*A memorial service at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at 1500 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27608 on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00 am.
and
*A funeral service at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 5995 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611 on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT 06611 followed by returning for a respite luncheon at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
It was Jenn's wish to educate others, bring an awareness to brain cancer, as well as contribute to the research that will hopefully lead to a cure one day. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke.
