Jenny Mae Barrett, 53, passed away September 28th, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho. Jenny was born January 13, 1972, to Richard and Artelle Dick in Sun Valley, Idaho. Jenny was the fourth child in the family joining her brothers Steve, Stan and Ken. She grew up in Rupert Idaho, graduating from Minico High School in 1990. In the early years, her favorite pass time was being involved in anything to do with her older brothers, who were the center of her world, being outside and hanging out with her best friend, Gwen.

She was a country girl at heart and tough as nails. With her natural sense of adventure, she moved to Boise, Idaho, after graduation and attended Boise State University for a short time studying marketing but quickly left the collegiate world to explore her true passion of photography.

In December 1993, Jenny met the love of her life at a community Christmas party. From that moment on, the two were inseparable. One look at them together, and you could be reassured that finding your soulmate really does exist in this world. Jenny and Joe married June 21st, 1996, in Caldwell, Idaho with the justice of the peace and quickly started their life full of adventure with a trip to Cancun, Mexico, where they took their honeymoon. That was only the beginning; Jenny and Joe continued to strive toward a life of adventure that took them to places all over the world. In 2001 the adventure continued into parenthood when they welcomed into the world their son, Caleb. Jenny was a fierce mom, supporting Caleb in everything he did from little league baseball to his current adventure in aviation.

As a family, they enjoyed retreating to the backwoods of Idaho for camping, riding motorcycles, and laughing until their stomach hurt as well as any activity that would involve them getting to be together. Jenny could light up the darkest rooms just by her presence and her light will forever be missed in this world.

Jenny is survived by her husband of 30yrs Joe Barrett, Son Caleb Barrett (24); older brothers Steve (Sharon), Stan (Deb, Nieces Courtney and Tara), Ken (Tammy), Uncle Carl Schlecht (Jo), Vicki Dick, Nephew Forest(Karen, grand nephew and niece Kadence and Kelsa), Niece Erin Swanson (Mel, Grand nephews Bryson and Wesley), Marlene Barrett (Mother in Law), Mickie Barrett (Sister in Law) and niece Averi Barrett along with furbabies (Denny, Bleu, Lily, Winston and Amelia). Jenny is preceded in death by her father Richard Dick, Mother Artelle Dick, Joyce Bound (aunt), Ray Bound (uncle), Joe Barrett, Sr and numerous furbabies (Jessie, Jazzman, Baylee, Lexi, Guage, Kinsie and Lulu).

Funeral/celebration of life services will be held 10AM, Monday, October 20th, 2025 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd., Nampa, ID, 83651, followed by a family gathering at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery.
