1996 – 2025
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Jenyiia (Jenny) Rubell DaSilva, who left us far too soon on July 5, 2025, at the age of 29.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Jenny was a free spirit who dreamed big and lived with her heart wide open. She eventually moved to New Jersey to pursue her vision of launching a candle and clothing line she lovingly named "Choke." Being closer to New York, she believed, would bring her closer to opportunities, new friendships, and a place where both she and her cherished dog, Yumi, could experience the changing seasons-especially snowy winters, which she looked forward to sharing with her.
Jenny tried many jobs over the years but discovered a true passion for bartending. She loved the art of crafting new drinks and eagerly tested them on friends and family. Her creativity was only matched by her compassion. After watching a few PETA videos, Jenny became a committed vegetarian and a vocal advocate for animal welfare. Even during lean times, she made monthly donations to the Arizona Humane Society and dreamed of fostering dogs once she was settled into her forever home.
Those who knew Jenny best remember her for her unwavering kindness. She believed deeply in second chances and saw goodness in everyone. "If someone is unkind," she would say, "it's because they've been treated that way before-and they still deserve love." Her radiant smile, warm spirit, and gentle heart will be cherished and remembered always.
Jenny is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, her beloved Yumi, her sister Cherelle, and a large and loving family too numerous to count.
