It is with heavy hearts that the family and friends announce Jeremiah Devon (JD)
Walorski, of Phippsburg, CO passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2025 at the age of 35.
He is survived by his parents Paul and Chris Walorski, sister Leah (Walorski) Sharp and
Tommy Sharp, and JD's niece Jaelynn Rose Johnson. He is also survived by both paternal
grandparents Syl and Margaret Walorski, maternal Grandmother Cecilia Moore, as well as
numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
JD was born March 24th, 1990 at Routt Memorial Hospital in Steamboat Springs, CO.
While JD was born in Steamboat, he was most certainly a child of South Routt County. He
attended SOROCO Elementary school in September of 1994 and would graduate from
SOROCO High School in the Spring of 2008. While growing up in South Routt, JD would
participate in several sports, including soccer, football, but most notably he was a beloved
member of the Oak Creek Kodiaks Hockey Organization, and a lifelong hockey fan. Outside of
school, he also was an avid dirt biker and of course was a fantastic skier and snowboarder. JD
loved music. Not only was he wildly knowledgeable and passionate about music, but also wrote
for and performed with the band AVEYA, which consisted of several of his friends from high
school.
After high school, Jeremiah moved to Fort Collins, CO where he would begin work at a
local pizza restaurant, The Pizza Casbah. JD would start as a prep cook and through his hard
work and determination would eventually manage the restaurant. In his time in Fort Collins, JD
forged many new friendships, while also maintaining a close relationship with his friends from
home. After nearly ten years in Fort Collins, JD moved back to Steamboat Springs, where he
helped one friend with his ski company and another with his landscape business, and also
began work as an apprentice electrician. However, JD would eventually return to restaurant
work at Franciosi's in Oak Creek, CO.
JD was loved by all who met him. His intelligence, combined with a fantastic sense of
humor, and a determined work ethic made him a beloved friend to many. If you needed a laugh,
just find JD. He was the kindest, most loyal friend, son, and brother a person could ask for.
There will be a celebration of life held in JD's honor at 11 am on August 31, 2025 at the
Phippsburg Park. All are welcome to join us in celebrating the life of Jeremiah Devon Walorski.
