Jeremy Copeland Obituary

Jeremy Nelson Copeland
July 13, 1980 - April 15, 2025

Jeremy Nelson Copeland was born in Vancouver, WA on July 13, 1980. He passed away on April 15, 2025, at 44 years of age, surrounded by loved ones.
Jeremy is the second of three boys, born to Nelson and Karen Copeland. He was a curious, mischievous child who liked to figure things out. This continued into his adulthood, as he enjoyed tinkering and fixing things up, especially so they wouldn’t go to waste. He enjoyed going shooting with friends and family, riding his four-wheeler, and his favorite passion-working on cars. Jeremy’s favorite brand of vehicles was Ford, and would try to convince everyone else that it was the only brand worth buying. He would, however, work on any type of vehicle that was brought into his garage, or that he pulled from the side of the road. If the roads were slick, Jeremy would drive around in his trusty, red Ford Ranger, looking to rescue cars that had gone into the ditch. Working on cars with his brother Steve was also something he really enjoyed.
Jeremy had a big personality; one you wouldn’t forget. He was known for being direct and to the point, but in a really humorous way. He was very warm hearted under his gruff exterior and made friends wherever he went. His nieces and nephews were special to him as well, and they loved him in return.
He met his wife Cassandra, when they were in their late teens, out for coffee at the local hangout. During their dating years, they often rode in Jeremy’s special ’64 Ford F100 pickup. They dated for a few years, then got married at age 21 on April 27, 2002. They purchased their first house together in Battle Ground, and moved two more times after that, before settling into their current home on one acre in 2009. For a couple years, Jeremy and Cassandra cleaned up job sites together for New Tradition Homes, before Jeremy moved on to doing security. In 2011, their daughter Fiona was born, followed by son Trent in 2013, and son Miles in 2016.
Jeremy enjoyed spending time with his wife and three kids-some of their favorite things to do together were going to the Clark County Fair, spending time at the Oregon Coast, and relaxing around home. He also liked attending family BBQ’s and events, and especially loved Christmas. Jeremy had an extremely generous heart, and his giving had no limit. Another favorite holiday of his was the Fourth of July. He would spend a large sum of money at the fireworks stand and enjoyed putting on a big show for everyone.
Jeremy will be deeply missed by his faithful wife Cassandra, and his three children, Fiona, Trent, and Miles. He is preceded in death by his brother, Kacy Copeland, and his father, Nelson Copeland. He leaves behind his mother, Karen Copeland, and his brother, Stephen (and Erika) Copeland.
He is also survived by his father in law, Chris (and Marjorie) Helmes, mother in law, Amy Helmes, brothers in law, Brandon (and Melanie) Helmes, Jarret (and Kendra) Helmes, Naaman (and Yana) Helmes and sisters in law, Telina (and Cole) Violette and Alyssa (and Daniel) Cook. He also leaves behind 19 nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jeremy is greatly missed, and may the Lord bless and keep him in His care.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18
