Jeremy Cox, age 44, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Jeremy's wishes were for cremation. The family invites you to a Celebration of Jeremy's life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Artesian Park in Clinton, Missouri. Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.
Born on August 17, 1980, in Clinton to Donie and Jodi Cox, Jeremy was someone who showed up for the people he cared about. Whether you needed a hand, a laugh, or some solid advice (usually in his own style), Jeremy was there.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and taking long drives with no destination-just time to think and unwind. He also had a talent for giving people a hard time in the way only someone with a big heart could pull off. His humor and honesty were just part of what made him truly one-of-a-kind.
Jeremy is survived by his children: Cody Cox, Chance Cox, and Theresa Cox; his siblings: Jamey Cox, Matthew Cox, Ben Cox, and Rachael Cox; and many more friends and extended family who were lucky to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donie and Jodi Cox.
While there will be no formal funeral service, a Celebration of Life will be held at Artisan Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Jeremy in the way he would've wanted-with stories, laughter, and a sense of togetherness.
As we say goodbye to Jeremy, we'll hold onto the good times, the laughs, and the wisdom he shared in his own unique way. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Jeremy was an organ donor and helped save a 64 yr old female and a 58 yr old male with his generosity.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
