Jeremy Glenn Crookham

Jeremy Glenn Crookham age 38 died on September 18, 2025, in Appling, Georgia from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born on October 10, 1986, in Washington, Georgia, Jeremy lived a life marked by love, service, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
Jeremy's early life in Lincolnton was filled with the joys of small-town living. He attended Lincoln County High School (LCHS), where he graduated in 2005. It was on the football field that Jeremy's team spirit and leadership qualities shone brightly, traits that would later define his professional life.
After high school, Jeremy dedicated his life to public service, joining the Columbia County Sheriff's Department as a deputy sheriff. For 16 years, he served with distinction, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he loved so dearly. Jeremy's mild-mannered temperament and readiness to help anyone in need were hallmarks of his character both on and off duty.
Beyond his professional life, Jeremy was a loving and devoted father. He relished the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories with his children.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah McNerney Crookham; children, Sophie Norfleet age 14, Jasper Crookham age 11, Mason Crookham age 9, Dawson Crookham age 5, and Banner Crookham age 4; parents, Jerry L. and Joyce Norman Crookham; sister, Kristy Crookham; maternal grandmother, Olivia Norman, and paternal grandmother, Billie Crookham, aunts and uncles, as well as numerous cousins.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeremy found peace and solace in the beauty of nature. Hunting, fishing, and the tranquility of the great outdoors were sources of great joy for him. In his leisure time, Jeremy also enjoyed the world of video games.
Traveling was another passion of Jeremy's, and Gatlinburg, with its majestic mountains and serene landscapes, was his favorite destination.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 1pm at The Lincoln Center followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m.
