Jeremy McAlpin, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 19, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born on August 12, 1978, in Jackson, Tennessee, and raised in the heart of Hardeman County, where his roots ran deep and where he cultivated a legacy of love and devotion.
Jeremy's career spanned a diverse range of experiences, most notably his time at Dover from 2001 until 2016. Following his years there, he transitioned into the construction industry, where he reveled in the physical demands of his work until he faced the challenges of disability. Even during these trials, Jeremy embodied resilience and strength, qualities that defined his character.
A man who wore his heart on his sleeve, Jeremy's foremost passion was his family. He was a loving husband to Lori Beth McAlpin of Middleton; a devoted father to his sons, Morgan McAlpin and Taylor of Bolivar, and Austin McAlpin of Middleton; as well as a proud grandfather to his adored grandson, Jensen McAlpin. His love for them knew no bounds, and he took utmost joy in every moment spent with them.
Beyond the home, Jeremy was a man of the outdoors. His love for hunting and fishing was unparalleled; he could often be found enjoying nature's beauty, casting a line or exploring the wilderness with a sense of adventure. His fondness for animals, coupled with his delight in visits to the beach, painted a picture of a man who seized every opportunity to connect with the world around him.
A faithful Baptist, Jeremy's unwavering faith served as a cornerstone of his life. It shaped his values, guided his actions, and provided strength during difficult times. His warm smile and infectious laughter were a beacon to all who knew him, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family alike.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his father, Charles McAlpin, and his grandparents, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love, and adventure, cherished memories that will continue to bring solace to his family as they navigate life without his comforting presence.
As we honor Jeremy's life, let us celebrate the man who loved fiercely, laughed heartily, and built not just structures, but a sturdy foundation of love and respect that will echo in the lives he touched. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, guiding them with the love he so freely gave. A private service will be held at a later date.
