It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Jeremy Glenn Thomas, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who departed from us on September 15th, 2024, at the age of 46. Jeremy profoundly impacted the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born in Ocean Springs, MS, Jeremy graduated from St. Martin High School in 1996. He concluded his dedicated service as a U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant on September 30th, 2014, after a distinguished military career. Throughout his service, Jeremy proudly embodied the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment. His work on KC-130 aircraft Power Plants Systems and later as an instructor at "A" School for Power Plants was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his country. Jeremy's love for the United States was evident in every task he took on, no matter how big or small. He served with great pride, and his fellow Marines knew him for his loyalty to the mission and his brothers-in-arms. He lived by the Marine motto "Semper Fi" - always faithful - a creed he carried both in and out of uniform.
Following his retirement, Jeremy moved to Yuma, AZ, where he began a new chapter in his career in HVAC. In March 2016, he became a part of Hyatt Air Yuma, where his aptitude for acquiring new skills quickly made him an indispensable asset to the team. He earned great respect within the community, and his contributions to both commercial and residential projects will be fondly remembered.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeremy's warm smile and contagious laughter were a source of joy for everyone around him. His vibrant personality and ability to bring comfort and laughter to others will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeremy loved hunting, fishing, and exploring the beauty of his surroundings. His adventurous nature was complemented by his friendly personality, allowing him to forge connections with everyone he encountered. Always ready with a joke, Jeremy was fiercely devoted to his loved ones.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Thomas. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandra, and their three children, Brandon, Kayla, and Jeremy Jr. He is also survived by his mother, Tammy (Milton) Raines, his brother Joshua (Bethany) Thomas, his sister Shelby (Shiloh) Snow, his sister-in-law Susie, his father-in-law Robert, his mother-in-law Maria Casillas, and his beloved Maw Maw Jo, along with six nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services at 6631 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs, MS 3954 on October 8th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, where we will gather to celebrate Jeremy's life, honoring the incredible person he was and the lasting impact he made on all of us.
May Jeremy find eternal peace, living on in our hearts and cherished memories.
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." - Matthew 18:20
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea." - Psalm 46:1-2

Jeremy was truly my brother from another mother. Man, I am still struggling with this, but I know someday we shall reunite. Jeremy was my best friend growing up, we rode to and from school every single day together. We had our first jobs together at a local grocery store. We hunted together, we fished together, we had all of the same classes together, we did a little bit of everything together. Then, life got in the way and we grew apart and lost touch. How I wish I could go back and change that. I love you brother, rest well. Mrs. Tammy, Josh, Shelby, Sandra, may you find a glimmer of happiness in knowing I am honored to have been a small part of this great man's life.
