I just found out a few months ago. I went to grade school with him. He was a funny kid as I remember. I'm sure there was so much more to him. Wish we stayed in touch when I moved. God Bless my friend.

I grew up with Straat since second grade. We lost touch recently and I feel bad about that. He was always a loyal, fun loving friend who was there when you needed him. He could put a smile on your face in the worst of times. He was my tent mate for a two week hike in the New Mexico Wilderness and that trip has memories I will never forget. Rest well buddy and my deepest condolences to your loved ones and family.
