Jerold Berliner Obituary
Born February 11, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Milton Lawrence and Julia (Deutsch) Berliner.
A graduate of Erasmus High School, he then joined the U.S. Navy serving 22 years retiring as a Senior Chief Radioman.
Mr. Berliner enjoyed golf, fishing, and hunting with his father-in-law. He was a fan of baseball and NASCAR, a watch collector, and a movie buff.
Jerold is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Carol Roy; two sons: Steven A. Berliner and his wife, Lorie, of Watervliet, NY, and Robert J. Berliner and his wife, Maria, of Fayetteville, NC; four grandchildren: Melissa Berliner, Amy Berliner, Julie Berliner, and Stephanie Marie Berliner; six great-grandchildren: Kenny, Emma, Dominic, Brianna, Kara, and Steven; one great-great grandchild: Greyson David Jury; and his sister, Irene, wife of Dennis Obel of Pembrook Pines, FL.
Full military honors will be presented at Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, NY in the spring.
The family suggests donations be made to one of the following charities: the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Berwick.
