Jerold Sidwell Obituary

Jerold was born April 6, 1935, in Brownstown, IL, the son of Cecil and Mildred (Beck) Sidwell.
Surviving are his wife, Arlen (McCoy) Sidwell of Glen Carbon; their children, Chris (Marla) Sidwell of Irving; Jennifer (Jerry) Leibold of Granite City; and Andy Sidwell of Vandalia; three grandchildren, Chelsea (Nick) Brawley of Granite City; Jeremiah (Cierra) Leibold of Edwardsville; and Alyssa Leibold of Dallas, TX; their great-great-children, Charlotte, Brolly, Hannah, and Hailee Brawley; and his brother, Don (Elvera) Sidwell of Shobonier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janette Fisher.
Jerold served his county proudly in the United States Army. Later in life, he worked at a chemical fertilizer business for 28 years then became a truck driver for 18 years. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He also enjoyed wearing hats.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Nokomis. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Nokomis. Burial will follow in Kettlekamp Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
