Jerome John Dorshak

Jerome J. Dorshak, of Stevens Point, passed away on September 27, 2025, at Point Manor Assisted Living in Stevens Point, at the age of 87. Jerome was born March 15, 1938 in Rothschild, WI; son of the late John and Mary (Szarkowitz) Dorshak.
Jerome served in the United States Navy for 4 years. Following his service, he worked for the Soo Railroad Company. In 1998, he retired after 30 years of dedication.
Jerome enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Jerome is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice; a son, Rick (Patchara); a daughter, Cherie Dorshak; a grandson, Austin Dorshak; a son-in-law, Lee Bretl; and two sisters, Marcie Light and Pam Bretl. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, George Rozak and Ray Raboin; sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Cavanagh, Esther Kowalski, Kathy Raboin, and Shirley Rozak; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary; a brother, Chester; a sister, Patricia McQuire; and a brother-in-law, Jim Light.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Holy Spirit Parish - 2151 Stanley Street, Stevens Point. While there will be no visitation prior to the service, it will conclude with Full Military Honors.
