Jerome "Murph" Doyle

Jerome "Murph" Doyle, 79, of Merrionette Park, IL passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Queen Creek, AZ. He was affectionately known as Jerry or Murph to those who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Dunne; step-daughters, Susan(Barry) DiDomizio, Sheila (Joe) Bochenek and Joann(Greg) Liss; and step-son, Danny Elrod. He was a loving brother to Marcella Young and a beloved grandpa to Alana and Brendan Dunne, Eric Toczyl, Jenna Lee(Steve) Johnson, Brenda(Jamie) Steward, Rebekkah(Scott) Hahn, and Raechel and Rene Liss. He was a cherished great-grandpa to Cj and Wyatt Johnson, as well as a beloved cousin, uncle and friend to many. While professionally, Murph began driving a truck in his early teens, his other callings included amateur food critic, comedic story-teller, avid car collector, artist and creative wordsmith.

Services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Date and time to be announced. Interment will be private.

Murph was a generous supporter of The Humane Society, ASPCA, World Wildlife Fund, St. Jude, Make-A-Wish, Wounded Warriors, and Gary Sinise Foundation. The family would be honored if donations of any amount could continue in his name to any Animal, Children's or Veteran's Organization.
