Jerome Hubert Hake, of League City, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in League City, Texas at the age of 93. He was born on June 15, 1932 in Tipton, Kansas to Mark and Christina (Konzem) Hake.

Jerry was a Member of Saint Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church in League City. He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and was a Knight for 75 years.

He was born on a farm but he was employed in the construction and chemical industries, and was an Army veteran. Although he left the farm, the farm never left him. He was an avid gardener. He also enjoyed investing and following the markets. He volunteered with hospice and many church activities.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and father Mark and Christina Hake, first wife Mary Katherine (Adams), second wife Fay (Mitchell) Ranier, sister and brother in law Charlene and Dick Marek, brother Alan Hake, sister and brother in law Ruth and Robert Jennings, sister and brother in law Elaine and Marvin Parrack, brother in law Larry Balaun, son in law Stephen Kovach, son in law David Munson.

He is survived by son and daughter in law Dave and Katie Hake, son Tim Hake, daughter Sheryl Kovach, sister in law Vera Hake, brother and sister in law Leon and Gale Hake, sister Marilyn Balaun, sister and brother in law Karen and Harry Walters, brother Meldon Hake, grandchildren Jorma Hake and wife Sarah, Lindsay Hake, Laura Moroski, Dylan Hake and wife Gabrielle, Andrew Kovach, and Katherine Kovach.

A Mass will be held on Thursday July 31st 1 pm at St. Mary the Expectation Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573 with Father John Rooney presiding.

Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Carpenter Road, Ashtabula Ohio at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please donate to St Mary's Catholic Church Food Pantry.
