Jerome F. Hewitt "Termite" age 75, passed away January 20, 2026 at his home. A Gathering of friends and family will be held Monday, January 26, 2026, at Magnolia Chapel North from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Standford officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agatha Hewitt; sister, Mary Hewitt; brothers, John Hewitt, Michael Hewitt, and Richard Hewitt; and son-in-law, Alfred White.
Survivors include his wife, Robben Hewitt; daughters, Kimberly Marie Conway (Lawrence), and Angel Hines White; sons, Jerry Hewitt, Jr. (Heather), and Tony Gene Hines, Jr.; sisters, Ann Matko, and Cathy Dotts (Gary); brothers, Bill Hewitt (Pam), Chuck Hewitt (Cathy), Harry Hewitt (Debbie), and Danny Hewitt (Tina); grandchildren, Garret Christopher Hewitt, Kaine Alexander Hines (Jenny), Gabriel Lee White, Sophie Amada White; and Eurijah Francis Conway; great-grandson, Saint; many nieces and nephews; close family friend, Pam Repsher; and devoted companions, Esa Baby and Apollo.
Termite was a coal miner for more than 50 years. He graduated high school, but never stopped learning, receiving his Master of Theology degree. He was a provider, a protector, and a man of quiet strength. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and served with dedication as a church elder. Termite’s legacy lives in the hearts of family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to Homeless Connect, Love Inc., or a favorite charity.
