Jerome D. Kiser (Doug) passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the age of 89. Doug was born on January 12, 1936 in Welch, WV. Doug lived a life of adventure and cherished moments. Doug was as a devoted husband to Mary L. Kiser sharing 66 years of marriage. He was a loving father to his daughter Kathy and sons Terry and Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Katie Kiser, brothers Paul Kiser and Don Kiser.
Doug was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved the outdoors and he traveled to many states with his brothers hunting and fishing, including Alaska, Arizona and Wyoming. Doug and Mary lived in Casper, Wyoming for 33 years and made lifelong friends and had many adventures hunting and fishing, and their special neighbors became family. Doug was loved by many and will be dearly missed. He never met a stranger and was truly one of a kind, and the best story teller. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Doug is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Kathy Miller (James), son Terry Kiser (Cassie), Son Wayne Kiser (Linda), grandchildren, Shaun Kiser (Rachel), Spencer Shipley, Chelsea Coleman (Jeff), Jordan Lusk (Morgan), Christopher Kiser, Karissa Kiser, and Chris Miller (Cara). Great grandchildren Brayden Reed, Jaxon Coleman, Jake Coleman, Mia Lusk, Dayton Ballew, Cohen Miller, Ryker Miller, Stella Chambers, and Maggie Blankenship. Doug had very special friendships with Lacy Repass, Wyoming neighbor Garland Ulrick and son-in-law James Miller, brother-in-law LC Miller.
Services will be Saturday, April 5 at Calfee Funeral Home in Beckley, WV, visitation 11:00 to 1:00, funeral at 1:00 pm. with Pastor John Morgan officiating. Burial on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Pallbearers Jordan Lusk, James Miller, Chris Miller, Shannon Miller, Terry Kiser, and Jeffrey Coleman.
