Jerome Arthur Kuny

Age 86, Jerry Kuny, lost the battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024.
Jerry was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, the only son of Lloyd and Dorothy. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary, and his sister Joan Stanze. Survived by his children, Janine (Patrick) Terhaar, John, James (Tracy) and Jennifer (David) Solon; grandchildren, Alex, TJ, Connor, Anna, Madeline, Katherine, Beatrice, Zack, Delaney, Lindsay and Adam; great-grandchildren, Maya, Kyla and Ryer.
Jerry grew up spending summers on Balsam Lake where he met Rosemary through the Ski Club and they married soon after. They put their roots down in Fridley and were blessed with four children; Janine, John, Jim, and Jennifer. After raising their family, Jerry and Rosemary bought a place in Bonita Bay FL, moved to North Oaks and continued spending summers at the lake.
He loved the cabin and loved spending time with family. Those who knew Jer knew he took his hobbies seriously: computers, woodworking, fishing, bikes, and model trains to name a few. He loved learning new things and was willing to teach anyone anything (which ensured it was done the right way). He was happiest when he was cutting grass at the lake, setting up a new computer, planning a surprise, or organizing something.
Please join us in celebrating his life at 2PM on Tuesday, June 25 at St. Odilia Catholic Church in Shoreview (3495 Victoria Street N). Visitation one hour prior. Interment following mass in the St. Odilia Prayer Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to:
Mckinley Erickson Scholarship Fund
Mckinley was the grandson of Jerry's only niece, Linda, and died in a tragic accident on February 21, 2020. Donations are used towards student scholarships in his name, fundraisers and various events at St. Croix Falls High School. Checks can be mailed to 406 Thye Trail, Osceola, WI 54020
