In Loving Memory of Jerome Malcom Lippa Faithful Servant, Devoted Family Man, Inventor and Electrical Contractor 1941 – 2025
Jerome Malcom Lippa, a devoted husband, and loving patriarch, finished his earthly purpose as a faithful servant of the Lord and went home to live in God's eternal glory. Known to many simply as "Jerry," he was the proud founder and owner of J.M. Lippa Electrical Contractors Inc., where he built a successful company for over 50 years, earning respect and admiration in both his profession and community. He was a successful inventor of two electrical patents.
Jerry's life was defined by hard work, deep faith, and an unwavering love for his family. He was the beloved father of three children, grandfather of nine grandchildren and great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren, with two on the way, all of whom were blessed to create cherished memories on the family farm, a place Jerry built into a "haven" of joy, adventure, and tradition. His legacy lives on in every aspect of that land, in every story shared around the table, and in the lessons he instilled through both words and actions.
In the early 1990s, Jerry was honored to serve as a partner in building a church, a symbol of his enduring commitment to his Christian faith. For over two decades, travelers across Maryland were reminded of that faith through the bold message he proudly displayed on highway billboards: "Jesus is the Reason for the Season." His dedication to sharing the Gospel was endless and heartfelt.
A man of discipline and deep conviction, Jerry was not only a servant in action but in word. He authored and published the book "Coincidence or Divine Grace", a reflection of his belief in God's hand in his everyday life, and a testament to his thoughtful, spirit-led journey.
Jerry lived a life of service, love, and purpose. His impact reaches far beyond his immediate family. He was actively involved in bible studies, on the board of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), touching church communities, business partners, neighbors, and countless others who crossed paths with him. He witnessed to people everywhere he went, no matter if it was in line at the grocery store or to those just passing by. He had a true love for bringing people to know the Lord, taking time to listen to their needs and praying with them.
He will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, and his strong faith. Though he is now home with the Lord, his light will continue to shine through all those he loved.
Jerome M. Lippa, survived by his beloved wife Joanne E. Lippa (Kleiner), son of the late Eleanor B. Lippa (Smith) and late Jerome A. Lippa, brother to Cheryl, John (wife, Rosemary ), Gary (wife, Donna), Ronald (pre deceased) (wife, Catherine (pre deceased), and Craig (pre-deceased)(wife Peggy), Father to Sharon E. Scranton, Gregory M. Lippa (wife, Suzanne), Brian D. Lippa (wife, Michelle), Grandfather to Emily Mullen (husband, Nikolas), Jeremy Scranton (wife, Brigitte Scranton), Rebekah Scranton, Bailey Hearn (husband, Grady Hearn), Caroline Scranton, Jacob Lippa (wife Emory Lippa), Makai Lippa, Malia Lippa, Sydney Magness (pre deceased) (husband Griff Magness), Great Grandfather to Graham Hearn, Banks Mullen, and Elliott Hearn, and two on the way.
