Jerome M. Madynski

Jerome Melvyn Madynski of Birmingham died on October 1, 2022. He was 73 years old. Jerome was born on June 19, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to parents, Evelyn (nee Konieczki) and John William Madynski.
Jerome graduated from De La Salle High in Detroit in 1967. Following graduation, he proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged from the Army in January of 1970. After his military service, Jerome married the love of his life, Janice Rogers on April 3, 1970. It was then that he began working at Detroit Edge Tool Company for 45 years, retiring in 2015 as Vice President of the company.
Jerome was a member to the Elk's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a hard worker and hard relaxer. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Jerome is survived by his beloved wife, Janice, his loving children, Jeffrey (Nancy), Jeremy (Rachel) and Jaimie (Andrew) Fons. He is also survived by his grandsons, Thomas, Cassius Jahn, and August Madynski, and Griffin, Charles, and Theodore Fons. Jerome is also survived by his siblings, John Madynski, Jr., Gerard Madynski, Catherine (Mark) Iwanski, Mary (Russ) Weill, and Chris (Lisa) Madynski.
A funeral with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road, Clawson, Michigan 48017 on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11am. Friends may visit on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 4-8pm. Jerome's final resting place will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
