Jerri Power

Mrs. Geraldene (Jerri) Power, age 96 of Elkton, passed away at home on December 19, 2025 with her son and daughter present. Services will be held Monday, December 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Cummings and Rev. Willard Knipp officiating. Burial to follow in Todd County Meadow Haven. Visitation will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at Latham Funeral Home. Services will be live streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Jerri was born January 10, 1929 in Logan County. She was a faithful member of Elkton Baptist Church for 70 years. She was extremely active in WMU, the funeral ministry, made the communion bread for years and spent numerous hours in the kitchen of Elkton Baptist. She was a former employee at Elkton Bank and Trust and sent 22 years at Weathers Drugs. She was truly a prayer warrior for others and loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom they lovingly referred to her as "Mama J". She was a founding member of Town and Country Club and was an avid University of Kentucky fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Lucile White, her loving husband of 70 years, Paul Power; her son-in-law Jim Powell, and her grandson James Derek Power.

Mrs. Jerri leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sheryl Powell, her son Larry and his wife Cheryl as well as 5 grandchildren: Chanda Fowler of Louisville, Josh and his wife Jessica Powell of Cadiz, Tara and her husband Aaron Cox of Elkton, Katherine and her husband Gavin Cole of Elkton, Miranda and her husband James Bishop of Bowling Green and 12 great-grandchildren: Abby and Avery Lawson of Frankfort, Hallie, Sophie, Lacy, Emmy, Tucker Cox of Elkton, Lexie and J. P. Powell of Cadiz and Anniston, Marshall and Maxwell Cole of Elkton and a very special friend and caregiver, Beth Dill.
