Jerrol "Jerry" Jean Davis, born September 14, 1932, in Joes, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 92. He was the fourth of six children born to Vida Leslie Davis and Alice (Nowak) Davis. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leslie "Bud" Davis; sisters Wilda Cole and Margaret Schulte. Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Georgia Jean (Brenner) Davis, whom he married on November 5, 1955. He is also survived by his son, Rick (Kim) Davis; daughter, Cindy Marino; grandson, Jonathan Davis; granddaughters, Jindy (Jason) Page, Chelsea Marino, and Breanna Marino; great-grandchildren, Palmer Page and Callan Page. His surviving siblings are Darrel (Darlene) Davis and Alice Matlock. Raised in Joes, Jerry worked diligently on the family farm during his youth, fostering a lifelong passion for agriculture. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from April 22, 1953, to January 29, 1955, stationed in Germany, where he attained the rank of Sergeant and received an honorable discharge. After his military service, Jerry built a distinguished career at Western Electric starting in 1955, retiring as a Telecommunications Engineer on April 30, 1990. In retirement, he continued his love for agriculture, assisting his son Rick on the family farm. Jerry was deeply committed to his community, serving as a Life Member of the Legacy West Pioneers, where he volunteered with BeepBall. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished farming, fishing, and camping, often sharing these passions with family and friends. His favorite place to cast a line was in the serene waters of the Yampa Valley, where he found peace and joy. Jerry will be remembered for his steadfast love for his family, his dedication to service, and his kind, generous spirit. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, 2:30 pm.
