Jerrold L Plamann

Jerry passed away peacefully on February 8,2025. He and Barb would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on September 24 2025.
Jerry was a huge sports fan, especially Brewers, Packers and Badgers and passed that love onto his boys. He also taught them the skills needed to compete at a high level. In his younger years he played baseball for Nichols in the Dairyland League and played and coached fastpitch softball for many years in the Fox Valley Area.
Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a twinkle in his eye! His storytelling (his B.S.) was always a great source of entertainment to all who knew him, and even to his caregivers as he was in his final days.
Words cannot describe how deeply he will be missed. Jerry loved his family, spending time with them at games, grandkids events and family gatherings. He loved fishing and playing a good game of cribbage at the cottage "Up North" The memories that were made there will never be forgotten.
He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. He worked for 8 years at Kimberly-Clark then proudly worked at Oscar Boldt Construction for 36 years.
He is survived by his wife Barb, his 4 sons, Phil (Sue), Terry (Marie), Jay (Debbie Gorman) and Joe, 6 grandchildren, Andy Plamann (Erin), Tony Plamann (Justine), Jordan, Ali, Allen Gorman (Emma), Andrea Minkley (Andrew), Great grandchildren, Oliver, Vivian, Theodore, Alexa, Brianna, Easton, Laela, Ivy, baby Minkley arriving in March and Baby Gorman arriving in May, 2 brothers, Michael (Janet) and Jon (Julie), sisters-in-law; Sharon Plamann and Maxine Buss, as well as many nieces and nephews and other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emro and Caroline Plamann, his sister Betty Griffiths, brothers Emro and Kay Plamann, brothers- in-law; Bob Griffiths, Joe Buss and Chuck Schwandt, sisters-in-law; Nancy Plamann, Audrey Schwandt and Betty Guyette, and a nephew Scott Plamann.
A very special thank you to the nurses on the 4th floor at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton Retirement Center (ARC), especially Aime and Christina, and MOMENTS Hospice, especially Faydra and Emily, for giving us the opportunity to just spend time with Jerry while they handled EVERYTHING. Their kindness and compassion are amazing.
