Jerry Barnes Obituary
Jerry was born August 1st, 1946 in Wilson, NC to the late Arthur and Dixie Thompson Barnes. He loved spending time with his family and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Barnes of the home; two step-sons: John Whisner (Lesley) of Roaring Gap, NC and Ben Whisner (Wendy) of Greenville, NC; five step-grandchildren: Bradley Whisner (Lyndsey), Samantha Lynch (Donavan), Tyler Whisner (Alexis), Alexis Wilson (Josh), and Jacob Whisner; three step-great-grandchildren: Mary Leighton Whisner, Madelyn Adele Whisner, and Ensley Kaye Wilson; extended family and friends also survive.
Jerry's family will hold a small private celebration of his life late this year in Wilson, where he was born.
Memorials may be made to Alleghany Council on Aging Meals on Wheels PO Box 416 Sparta, NC 28675 or to Solid Rock Food Closet Children's Backpack Program PO Box 955 Sparta, NC 28675.
