Jerry Lamar Bonds

Mr. Jerry Lamar Bonds, age 84 of Hiram, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026. He was born September 3, 1941 in Hiram, Georgia, son of the late Rev. Willard Curtis Bonds and the late Mary Katherine Hurst Bonds.

Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Dallas, Georgia. He was a train conductor for CSX Railroad retiring with 30+years of service. He was a man who cherished the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing, going for walks, and one of his favorite pastimes was woodworking. Jerry had a strong love for his church with a desire to participate in the church activities, always lending a helping hand.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorinda (Mark) Thackston and Lisa (Tim) Grant; son, Stacy (Tara) Bonds; brother, Randall (Linda) Bonds; brother-in-law, Dan Johnson; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and one more on the way; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Macedonia Baptist Church on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10:00 AM -11:30 AM. A memorial service will follow beginning at 11:30 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church in Dallas Georgia.
